LPG → Heat-pump
payback calculator.

Most LPG process heating in Filipino food & bev, hotels and laundries can be displaced by a high-COP heat pump in under 3 years. The maths is straightforward; the variable that catches people out is COP at tropical wet-bulb. We bake that in.

Assumptions & methodology
  • LPG energy content: 46.1 MJ/kg (DOE Philippine Energy Reference, 2024)
  • Grid emission factor: 0.7122 kgCO₂e/kWh (DOE NGCP 2023)
  • LPG combustion factor: 3.01 kgCO₂e/kg
  • COP de-rated for Manila ambient (avg 30 °C / 26 °C WB) per EN 14511 at supply temperature
  • Maintenance delta and refrigerant losses excluded — material only at scale >500 kW
  • NPV: 9% discount, 10-yr horizon, 4% energy escalation
